Lowcountry Interior Design Trends for 2024
Listen. We have a complicated relationship with trends. Because while we love fresh takes and new ideas, we also recognize that your home should reflect your personal style. That might mean completely ignoring every trend out there!
But if you are looking for inspiration and planning a renovation or custom build next year, here are a few trends we’re loving for 2024.
Blue Nova and Topaz are the cures for Sad Millennial Gray.
These are Benjamin Moore’s Colors for 2024 (Blue Nova reigning supreme) and we’re loving these with warm whites for Mt. Pleasant interior design projects.
Use Wallpaper in Unexpected Places to Bring the Drama.
Though this is by no means new, we’re still absolutely loving wallpaper in unexpected places like bedroom ceilings.
We especially love a tropical or floral pattern and, in our opinions, the bolder the better! It’s a great way to add drama to an otherwise neutral color palette, too.
Statement Chandeliers
It’s not about crystal and brass in entryways in most homes, but we still love the way a statement chandelier can immediately draw interest in a room. Recently, we put this floral find in an eat-in kitchen for a Mt. Pleasant interior design client and we love it.
Bold Tile
White, gray, and light woods (ash, white oak) are still beautiful, but we’re loving dark tiles, especially in bathrooms and small spaces. This black tile in a herringbone pattern makes this bathroom such a “WOW!” and we use lighter colors on the other finishes to offer moments of levity.
